The Baby-Faced Killer Who Used a Teenager’s Love for Tech as a Grooming Tool
Breck Bednar was born in London, England, on March 17, 1999, to Lorin Lafave and Barry Bednar. Originally from the United States, Lorin and Barry relocated to the United Kingdom in 1996 so that Barry could pursue his career as an oil futures trader. They moved to Surrey, just outside of London.
Breck has always been a good child, according to Lorin and Barry. They never had any issues with him; he was usually cheerful and easygoing. Moreover, his intelligence was immediately apparent. According to Lorin, it was evident that he had an aptitude for technology, and we could envision him becoming an architect or an engineer.
Since Lorin’s triplets, Chloe, Carly, and Sebastian, were born in 2002, life has been hectic but never without fun. Breck enjoyed time with his siblings; in return, they cherished and loved him. However, work pressure started to get to Barry after the birth of the triplets. Later, he conceded that he wasn’t the most pleasant of husbands, which led to the couple's divorce in 2006, when their children Breck (then 7) and the triplets (then 4) were still young. Lorin and the kids relocated to Caterham, around 40 minutes from Weybridge, where they lived.
