According to the neighbors, the ground-floor flat frequently hosted raucous late-night gatherings of young people. After hearing the tragic news, one resident remarked, “This is such a nice street, lots of lovely people who work and have high-paid jobs or work in TV. I have lived here for 25 years and have never seen anything like this. They have come and spoiled it now. You don’t know what people are like once they have locked their doors.”

Henry Stangroom, age 21, was identified as the body found in the apartment in Battersea, London. After breaking into his apartment on the evening of October 13, 2013, police discovered his body inside. Before the cops arrived, Henry’s sister reportedly knocked on neighbors’ doors, pleading for entry into the apartment.

Authorities concluded that Henry had been dead for more than a day before his body was discovered. The murder suspect, identified as Andrew Morris, 30, Henry’s roommate, was quickly apprehended by the Metropolitan Police.
